I seem to have fallen out of the habit of going on pub crawls – but have a little one planned in Cambridge today, starting here. It is busy just after noon, mostly with damp survivors from a sponsored walk ending nearby on Jesus Green.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Three Blind Mice - Mosaic4.20ExcellentHazy gold. Soft mouthfeel. Bursting with Mosaic goodness.
Turpin's - Meditation4.30GoodA clear, golden and crisp Pale Ale.
Nethergate (was Nethergate Growler for a while then name reverted) - Green with Envy4.50AcceptableI don’t get on very well with this Green Hop beer which has odd flavours and is unexpectedly sweet – the variability of fresh hops I guess.

18:30 Post curry visit. Fairly busy, chat with the Landlord and a beer ticker who insists on a legal measure to count a beer. Sound chap.

12:30 Many years since I last visited here. The pub itself is unchanged and is a good example of a 1960s refit. The beer choice though much extended. Without a doubt the best in the city centre. Landlord told us that he gets through a nine of a popular beer in an hour.
