Evening. Expecting to try the Hobgoblin pub for the first time in years I found it was the preview test opening night for tomorrow's big launch night of a new enterprise. Great enthusiasm from behind the bar with all the launch preparation being nearly complete.

Formerly Rose Inn and then Hobgoblin this Enterprise Inns house has been refurbished into a contemporary style by Urban Pubs & Bars and reopened on 29th January 2015. Bareboarded ground floor bar with some exposed brickwork. Bar counter has 4 handpumps and plenty of fizz fonts. Open view kitchen. Upstairs seating room can be a function room. Large rear room and a garden. Pubs for students do so flourish in this area.

We have visited this pub once, seen 4 different beers and tried 1 of them.
