Pub quiet in the early evening. Seems to have had a bit of a makeover since I was last here. I neglected to jot down the names of the five or six cask beers available.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Nene Valley - Pulp Fiction5.20GoodA golden beer. Described as being in the Saison style. Quite clear tasting, with just a hint of a sour edge.

Late night visit to beyond midnight. Live covers band playing good stuff of my generation, and we get to reminiscing about happy 1980s days at the Marquee Club and the Rainbow in London.

I arrived here a little after 11am to find the pub had been open since 9:30 ahead of today’s big football Play-off match at the Posh, and was already quite busy. In fact the first two replacement beers were already being pulled through.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Star Brewing Company - Comet3.80ExcellentI was impressed enough with this beer to have a couple, without trying anything else. A bitter, golden, Pale Ale.

With 1,800, notoriously thirsty, Leyton Orient supporters in town for this-afternoon’s football match, it’s going to be a bonanza day for Peterborough’s GBG pubs. Already quite busy here when I arrive half an hour before noon. Very helpful landlord here – full of advice on where to go, whilst busy ordering fleets of taxis.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Austendyke Ales - Long Lane Bitter4.00GoodA nice, copper-coloured, malty beer with some peppery hop.
