I used to come here occasionally during its time as Bogart’s. First visit for a while though and I was the only customer through most of my late-afternoon call. Local breweries to the fore.

Originally established in 1837 as the Ostrich Inn, this pub was renamed Bogart’s at some point in the 1990s and earned a reputation as a good freehouse. It closed in 2008 and re-opened the following year, once again as the Ostrich Inn. It is a traditional house, just off the town centre, with two drinking areas and a yard to the rear. 6 handpumps. In the CAMRA Good Beer Guide for 2012, 2013 and 2014.
