Early afternoon and first call on a No.43 bus crawl between Canterbury & Sandwich. Just a couple of diners finishing off a late lunch and a few folk in The Old Gits Corner! Friendly and welcoming as always and we opted for a selection to share from the good value and tempting bar snacks menu, the interior was remarkably cool so we chose to dine in. Noisy pub dog announced our arrival and took a while to shut up despite threats of incarceration from the landlord .
BeerABVScoreNotes
Wantsum - Black Prince3.90ExceptionalThis is a full bodied mild, very smooth on the palate with subtle hop and coffee notes.
Dark Star - Hophead (was 3.8%) brewed by Fuller's3.40ExcellentPale golden ale with a strong floral aroma and elderflower notes from the Cascade hops. This beer is full-bodied and full-flavoured yet gentle enough to make it a favourite session beer.
