I came in here after finding the Temple Brew House intolerably busy due to it being Quiz Night. Much more relaxed here and nicely air-conditioned.

No televised Wimbledon here, which means it is actually fairly quiet at a peak Friday evening session, when everybody wants to watch the Serena Williams v Heather Watson game.
Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - Dark Side of the Moo | 7.00 | | A very enjoyable half pint. Strong Porter. |
Aylesbury (ABC) - 101 | 3.80 | | Pale gold, with citrusy hop. Tired condition did no favours for flavours. |

30 Apr 2015 (ChrisE)
A group of us on a tour of pubs around the Temple/Aldwych area. The staff were amongst the happiest I have seen anywhere, they seemed to really enjoy their work. The scotch eggs looked delicious but I managed to resist the temptation to have one. Beers on sale as already listed by Michael Croxford.
Twickenham (also uses sub-brand Old Hands) - Redhead | 4.10 | | Very good ruby red ale. |
30 Apr 2015 (HSB)

03 Dec 2014 (Stephen Harris)
Early evening visit in the post-work rush. Two more cask beers were available but I just could not read the pump-clips in the dim light, back-lit by the fridges.

Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%) | 3.40 | Not Tried | |

29 Jan 2014 (Stephen Harris)
Busy in the early evening with a wide beer range, although I have mislaid my notes of what they all were – including a house beer of unknown origin.
Milestone - Honey Porter | 4.70 | | This was a Porter and it contained honey. But not really at the level of some other beers along similar lines I thought. |
19 Jan 2013 (Martin the Mildman)
Fairly quiet, a few tourists in on a wintry Saturday lunchtime.
Dark Star - Hophead Galaxy | 3.80 | | This works well, slightly sweeter than the original from the fruity Australian hop. My score 16/20. |
08 Jan 2013 (Martin the Mildman)
Adnams - Shingle Shells | 3.90 | | Sold as New Year Beer here with a similar pumpclip. A ruby red and fruity beer with good citrus and fruity hop character on a biscuity malt base. My score 15/20. |
05 Jan 2013 (Martin the Mildman)
Busy with tourists dining.
Twickenham (also uses sub-brand Old Hands) - Vanguard | 4.10 | | Golden ale with a fruity hop character. Well balanced and easy drinking. My score 15/20. |
York (now brewed by and at Black Sheep) - Three Kings | 4.50 | | Almost black porter style beer with a bitter character with a little toffee malt flavour. Some fruity hop in the finish. My score 15/20. |
