5 guests on. Had a Chinese meal opposite for lynnes birthday. In the heart of the Chinese quarter. Informative bar staff.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Jaipur5.90GoodA fine pint, 2.60, kept lacing and didn't have to ask for top up after I gave a stern look. Jack Williams, ot was good, not outstanding but well worth it, I guess
Byatt's - Regal Blond5.20GoodStrange brew from Coventry
Byatt's - Cardinal Sin5.40GoodAnother unusual taste from Coventry. Great lacing but an acquired taste, yet again.
Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Jaipur5.90Not TriedWill try it soon Jack Williams!

Less cavernous than most spoons, large but still with a real pub feel.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Mauldons - Black Adder5.30ExceptionalLovely, black burnt toast, coffee, chocolate and malt, a great stout.
Adnams - Broadside4.70Goodnice but lacking that distinctive Adnams taste.
Wibblers - Apprentice3.90GoodOK, unremarkable, nice but no outstanding hops or malt.

1930 visit. Departed the nearby beer festival, which can be found at the end of Hurst Street) and was told about this JD. Having visited all the others near the City. this one has escaped me since it was fitted out in October 2007. An ex O'Neill's pub, I was told and in the typical JD style. Not bad at all. It sits next door to the gbg Old Fox, directly opposite the old Hippodrome Theatre development. With a train to catch, only time for a swift half today?
