Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

MickExceptional12 Oct 2012 Amazing taste and aroma, a little more rounded and smoother than the Kipling, stunning hops, grapefruit and peach. Can't believe it's 5.9%, well not till later..........
MattyBoyNot Tried16 Dec 2011 I love this "proper" IPA but it's too drinkable for it's strength and I therefore avoid it incase I get "Jaipur'ed" again... Well worth trying if you have sturdy legs!
MitchExceptional09 Jul 2011 A labour of love by the Manager - set a challenge to buy this beer in - found it, arranged it and that takes some doing as this beer does not normally travel down South. Strong for an IPA in the modern era, but VERY drinkable.

Bear & Ragged StaffGood16 Sep 2012 Choice of a classic for the last pint of the day. A little hazy, lots of spicy, orange marmalade. However I am convinced that this is slightly different to the Jaipur of four or five years ago - alternatively, the last couple of pints I have had of this beer may not have been on top form!
Bear & Ragged StaffGood06 May 2012 Another beer that for me doesn't taste quite as it used too. Nevertheless, always worth a visit and still very good and very strong.
Bear & Ragged StaffExcellent18 Apr 2012 Flavour, body and balance. This beer has everything, the only criticism is that it is too easy to drink - and as another contributor said "so easy to get Jaipured". Wonderfull stuff.

DubbelExcellent05 Feb 2009 Most surprisingly, probably the only one of the Thornbridge brews sampled not to be on tip top form. The slightest haze ever so slightly dulled down that trademark grapefruit smack, although it could well have been the result of having it straight after the Kipling.

BrianExceptional18 Jul 2008 Started off the day with a pint. Oh yes! Ian told it wasn't as good as it can be, but this was the first time that I'd tasted it and it was amazing. One percent less good than the Dark Star APA. Stinging grapefruit, bright golden, bit of prickle if not fizz, the alcohol is disguised but hints of it right at the end.
IanExcellent18 Jul 2008 Good aroma of grapefruit, but when you've had it at the brewery tap, you get picky. Slight haze, should be fuller in mouth. Still good, but only a 4/5 as needs a touch more drinkability.
