Mid afternoon quiet when we arrived just 2 other customers in however it was much busier by the time we left 90 minutes or so later. Friendly welcome from the efficient but over polite barmaid who kept apologising for just doing her job!

Probably my favourite pub in London, steady stream of customers, vinyl playing in the background, the smell of roast pork cooking and a great selection of real ales, I’m in pub heaven!

The pub is found in Gospel Oak, Greater London, NW5 1LE.
Reopened as a traditional free house, this pub has a very retro feel about it, with tungsten lighting, bare boards and minimal decoration. Lots of handpumps dispense local microbrewers' products and there are several real ciders on handpump too. 12 handpumps, vinyl music played and renowned pies, savouries and hot rolls all play their part in making this a very successful and well patronised pub. Local CAMRA branch Pub of the Year 2024.
