Thwaites - Nutty Black | 3.30 | ![]() | Sweet and malty with hints of toffee and chocolate and low hop rate. My score 16/20 despite being served too cold and therefore awarded a "B" for quality. |

Downton - Dark Delight | 5.50 | ![]() | Near black bitter. Malty and deep with a spicy roasted malt nose. A bit astringent after a while + a pint was enough. |

Morrissey Fox - Proud of Pubs Best | 4.20 | ![]() | Surprisingly excellent offering. Ruby in colour, with a thick, creamy head, this bitter starts out malty but has a lovely sweetness to the finish. Nice mouthfeel, and not much hops. One for Dark Mild or Mild lovers to seek out. |
Sharp's - Atlantic IPA (now replaced by 4.2% Atlantic) | 4.80 | ![]() | Not really hoppy enough for a true IPA in my opinion, this is nontheless a pleasant, copper-hued beer with a light, tasty body tha would make a great session beer. |
Cairngorm - Nessie's Monster Mash (superseded by 4.1% version) | 4.40 | ![]() | Mahogany coloured, smoky bitter with a full body. |
