First in on a rainy October Wednesday lunchtime.We sat in the front bar on the long settles:the pub soon filled up with beaters from a local shoot.Much enthusiasm on both sides of the bar.

Lunchtime on a sunny October Saturday. We sat in the little bar too close to the roaring fire and watched the young things disport in the garden.An american craft keg wheat beer-Blue Moon, also available.
Wall's - The Dark Side | 4.40 | | Described as a milk stout.Jet black with a lasting white head.Bitter chocolate,hedge fruit:not too much roast malt. Very approachable. |

The classic ham 'n'eggs pub.Cosy snug, slightly larger bar and dining room.Dog freindly,though ours were banished to the car.Busy Saturday lunchtime.
