Spot on 15.00 opening we were the first customers upon arrival, comfortable and welcoming the subtle lighting made for a relaxed atmosphere. I've only listed the three cask ales available.

I'm at the back of a queue of around 20 people when the door opens promptly at noon. The little pub is instantly full.

The pub is found in Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK11 6JL.

A new venue open since 2010 converted from a shop by young entrepreneurs. Front door straight from the pavement and a long narrow room leading past the tabled area to the bar at the back with its 3 hand pumps. Provides a good balance of food and beer including an excellent selection of foreign bottled beers. Has a small free library where one can permanently take a book as a swap. Always stocked with interesting fiction and non-fiction titles. Always worth a visit when hitting the Waters Green / Sunderland Street crawl area - all within minutes of walking from the railway station. The small bar standing area makes conversation mandatory. Closed suddenly at the end of July 2022.

We have visited this pub 37 times, seen 106 different beers and tried 53 of them.
