Evening until midnight close. DJ playing reggae style music from vinyl on a twin deck. To me one of the decks distorted the output.

I arrived shortly before the scheduled 4pm opening time and found a friend of mine waiting outside. The pub opened about three or four minutes late for which the barman was duly castigated. A fair number of customers arrived and I would guess that this pub became very busy later on.

Evening. Talk about low-lights. I found one very bright area at the very rear in an otherwise sea of darkness. The Jury's out.

Newly opened pub that is a bit bleak although the staff were doing their best – candle-lit, with flowers on each table and good music.

The pub is found in Deptford, Greater London, SE8 4NS.
An Antic pub opened in July 2014 in the former Job Centre just opposite Deptford railway station in Deptford High Street. It is a particularly unglamorous 1960s/70s office building, stripped back to its bare shell, and with a little outside seating area at the rear. An open view kitchen and food provision was added in June 2016. Closed for a refurbishment and name change in 2023 and still operated by Antic. 8 handpumps. Closed second week in January 2026 with no advance warning.
