Early evening, pleasantly quiet. Some talk of wonderful beaches in Cambodia.

Dark Star - Six Hop6.50ExceptionalLeft this one to last - full of complex flavours - my first "exceptional" rated beer - even though I only had a 1/3. Wonderful.

Early Saturday evening - fairly quiet - just a quick visit so only noted a few of the beers on.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Fyne - Long Beech Blvd5.40AcceptableA "smoked pale ale" - I didn't take to the smokiness at all - best to leave it to the dark ales where it can complement rather than dominate I think.

I came in here to pick up a little pub crawl where I left off a week ago. Holly was playing the piano. I’ve truly lost count of the number of pubs I’ve walked into and found Holly playing the piano.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Wishbone - Abyss4.30GoodNot a brewery I’m familiar with. This is a rich, black Stout that drinks above its ABV, but which soon fell flat in the glass.
Orbit - Werk5.60GoodFrom a keg, and it must have been an old-fashioned keg because it turned out to be quite heavily carbonated. But really good hop flavours to compensate.

Fifth and final pub on a pub crawl along and around White Lion Street (sadly the White Lion itself is long-closed). Saving the best until last.

The pub is found in Islington, Central London, N1 9PP.

The fifth in the Craft/Cask chain (sixth if you count the short lived Cask at Brighton). This pub was established as the Lord Wolseley by 1876 and for 135 years was a rather unremarkable, side street pub, located close to the Angel in White Lion Street, Islington. In latter years it was a Greene King house. It reopened as Craft in November 2012, following a brief closure for refurbishment. Three distinct drinking areas plus a garden. 10 handpumps.

We have visited this pub 30 times, seen 165 different beers and tried 57 of them.
