Late afternoon and not crowded. A ‘Vintage Ale Festival’ is in progress with lots of beers on cask and key-keg that have been brewed in traditional English styles. I list only the cask ones.
| Anspach & Hobday - The Three Threads | 6.40 | | A muddy-brown, strong, chocolaty Porter. |
| One Mile End Brew Co. (formerly Mulligans at the White Hart and then WH Brew Pub) - East End IPA (1950 IPA) | 4.20 | | A good, old-fashioned, hoppy Pale Ale. |
| Rooster's - Throwback | 6.20 | | A brown, malty, smooth, Stock Ale, with a slight hint of brett sourness. I can remember drinking Shepherd Neame Stock Ale, back in the day; no memory of what it tasted like though. |

28 Mar 2015 (Jack William)
Early evening, heaving. Looked like a Blue Monkey festival going on with 7 of the 9 hand pumps featuring beers from this brewery - but apparently they had just received a pallet load as a special deal. The price of a pint didn't appear to have been positively affected though.
| Blue Monkey - 99 Red Baboons | 4.20 | | ruby colured ale - a little medicinal at first - but grew on me. |
| Blue Monkey - BG Sips | 4.00 | | lemony pale ale |

Quite quite and a bit odd in layout. Ian and I sat in the two leather arms chairs by the fireplace. The expanse of floor of us made it feel a bit empty.

I only popped in here for a quick lunchtime pint (honest) after viewing an exhibition, and to get out of the rain. Just a handful of customers but I fell into bad company and agreed to tag along at the beginning of a pub crawl.
