Beer | ABV | Score | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Jaipur | 5.90 | Lovely. | |
Black Hole - Supernova | 4.80 | Light, floral beer wheaty, a bit lagery but nice, a lovely drink | |
Quartz - Extra Blonde | 4.40 | Extremely wheaty, lovely beer, continental in taste | |
Black Hole - Apollo | 3.60 | Really nice light and hoppy a hint of citrus | |
Tap House - Ashby Pride | 3.80 | New Brewpub, of the Ingleby John Thomson stable, nice, floral session ale with subtle citrus flavours | |
Tryst - Zetland Wheatbier | 4.50 | High hopes for this but unexceptional in every wat; advertised as cloudy but as clear as a bell. | |
Marston's - Pedro | 6.00 | Special 40th anniv. CAMRA beer. Sadly a bit light and insispid. Peddyish but no overt flavour and a bit flat, very dark beer | |
Heritage (formerly William Worthington Brewery) - CAMRA 40th anniversary ale | 4.50 | Hardly a catchy name. Red/Spring shield by another name, sad lack of variety shown here by the Head Brewer |

The pub is found in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, DE14 2EB.
Main event, the Beer Festival at Burton Town Hall. Great venue, food and entertainment, numbers seemed a little down this year. Emphasis on local breweries and Celtic connections due to it being St Patrick's Day.
We have visited this pub once, seen 8 different beers and tried them all.
