12:00 Having a day out ticking off flyovers, diveunders, and curves on the western part of the London Underground I decided to have a break at Earl's Court and came here as directly opposite the exit. I proffered my CAMRA card for the discount and was charged £4.14! Ouch.

Now badged as a ‘Taylor Walker’ pub. I was so surprised when I was charged £4:45 for a pint here that I thought there must be a mistake – this pub chain is usually reasonably good value for money. But the barman confirmed that this was the correct price for a pint of Landlord. I shall not be back here in a hurry.

Timothy Taylor - Landlord4.30GoodA pretty good pint of Landlord actually – but so it should be at that price!

Comfortable and not too busy early evening on Christmas Eve. Open late and serving good food until quite late.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Tetley - Dark Mild3.20ExcellentNow brewed at Marston's (source - GBG 2010) and much improved in my opinion. Sweeter, less dry and with a fuller body. My score 16/20.
Adnams - London's Reinbeer4.00GoodBrewed for Spirit Group pubs in London. Dark ruby beer, almost a mild with a mainly sweet and malty taste with a hint of spice and fruit. My score 15/20.
Eagle (formerly Wells & Young's, formerly Charles Wells, formerly Wells) - Young's London Gold4.00GoodAnother brew for Spirit Group's London pubs, this is a malty brew with some hoppiness and a short, bitter finish in true Young's style. My score 15/20.
