These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

Martin the MildmanAcceptable17 Mar 2011 Served too cold, so difficult to determine much flavour in this. Thin and watery. No longer brewed in Leeds, believed to come from Marston's now. My score 14/20 with B for quality.

Foleys Tap House (formerly Mr Foley's Cask Ale House), Leeds, West Yorkshire

Paul BGood29 Nov 2008 Right beer for this sort of pub and for a lunchtime sup. Not in best of nick on the day but an easy drinking pint, with slightly nutty flavour

IanAcceptable05 Jan 2007 Deep ruby colour with lasting beige head. I haven't had this in years! Some dark caramel on nose. bit thin of flavour in mouth, some dark toffee, some choc. Finish has no pronounced hop, some dryness. Traditional mild, not huge on flavour, but in good condition which shows that they must get through the milds here. Could do with more flavour and body, but it's fine for what it is.
