Early Friday evening and the pub is absolutely wedged. Navigating a route through the crowds needs an element of planning.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Kent - Boss' Brew5.50ExcellentPale golden in colour. Sharply citrus, hopped with US and NZ varieties. Just my kind of thing.
Wantsum - Turbulent Priest4.40AcceptableDark brown, traditional bitter. Fruity. Not my kind of thing anymore really.

A very good Wetherspoons. There seems to be a strong emphasis on selling a range of beers in good condition.

Final stop for this late Saturday visit and all festival ales changed again.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Banks's - Maui Brewery Coconut Porter5.00ExceptionalNeeded this and fitting to finish the long day on a pint of this. Superbly tasty, dark roasted malts and mocha abound. Little short on coconut though? Top class.

Good crowd and decent range on.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Shepherd Neame - Fremlins Bitter3.50GoodAnother reincarnation of an old ale. Session type. I didn't drink real ale when this was last brewed in 1990 by the defunct Fremlins, so can't pass judgement on whether it is better or worse than the original?
Thwaites - Summat Special4.00Not Tried
Shepherd Neame - Goose Island Honkers Ale4.20Not TriedNeeded, but "coming soon" here?

My first visit to this pub, and I was impressed. A good range of beers, good service, and the place appears to have recently been decorated.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Conwy (Bragdy Conwy) - Rampart4.50ExcellentI really liked this beer. Copper coloured, and not too malty.
