Never been here before and we had some time before the train home. A friendly pub from what I can recall.

I was walking past this pub and decided to try the door to see if they were open, and they were. There was plenty of space in the garden and I found a nice spot to sit and enjoy a pint.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Musket - Fife & Drum Golden Ale3.80GoodI'm not a great fan of golden ales but this made a pleasant change from the National brands that I have found in other pubs this week.

Last call of the evening, the landlord had prepared home made goulash and pasta spirals, I did not hesitate when invited to help myself. A good well run pub.

I was walking past and noticed the pub was having a three day beer festival starting today, well it would be rude not to enter. The three regular beers on the bar and the festival in the garden at the rear, it was nice to find all beers at £3pp and no glass deposit. The beer festival was being run independently of the pub by a group of young beer enthusiasts calling themselves "Worth a butchers".

This pub has currently got one of its superb displays outside, currently on a Star Wars theme, on a previous visit I once had to enter through a Tardis and was served by staff dressed as Cybermen. A traditional pub once inside and I was pleased to see a local beer on offer.
