Uncomfortably crowded in the early evening with sport on three TVs. Difficult to get near the bar counter and I was unable to note all the cask beers available (but could see there were lots).

Early evening. Pub quite busy, mostly with people who have been watching football at Adams Park in the afternoon. There is an oddly unpleasant smell, which I tracked down to a wooden container of hanging meat on the bar.

Evening visit by a large group of 14 ale drinkers. I was very disappointed as beer range was humdrum, bar service was impeded by what seemed like inefficient engines and several in our group needed to send back the Titanic Anchor as undrinkable and some beers wore parsons' collars.

Very convenient for the Railway Station, we met up here early on a Friday evening whilst the pub was fairly quiet, but it soon filled up. Empty glasses were cleared from tables on a regular basis.

The pub is found in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, HP13 6NQ.
Spacious single bar pub just opposite High Wycombe railway station on Amersham Hill. At one time local and regional beers served from 5-6 handpumps. Once described itself as High Wycombe’s premier craft and speciality beer pub. Large decked area and a lawn with seating to enjoy in the rare summer months. Closed for a while towards the end of 2014 for a relaunch as a craft beer house. Re-opened 10th December 2014 in its new guise. Then re-opened on 3rd December 2020 following refurbishment by Wells & Co. It is part of its 'Pizza, Pots & Pints' brand. It has reverted to its previous name of the Flint Cottage having been called the Bootlegger for a number of years.
