Late afternoon - not very busy - love the interior - especially the murals - massive Charge of the Light Brigade and some sizeable Hogarth tributes.

Early evening and packed. The usual Fullers range on offer, I did not make a note of the ales.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - Gale's Seafarers Ale3.60AcceptableVery sweet and not like Seafarers that I have sampled recently.

Quite late evening. Still very busy. Tax Parity Day means save 7½% on food and drink and made my Chiswick £3.37 pp.

Very busy on a Monday evening – despite continuing to live up to its reputation for selling the most expensive beer in the area. Clientele definitely more banker than barrowboy.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - Bengal Lancer5.00ExcellentDiffers from most modern-day IPAs in using English (Goldings) hops, rather than the more aromatic US hops typically used. More muted flavours as a result.

Busy with commuters stopping off on their way home.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - Front Row3.70GoodServed too cold, but once it had warmed up there was the characteristic malty, yeasty Fuller's flavour, not much hop, mainly malt flavours with some bitterness in the finish. My score 15 with B for quality.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - Bengal Lancer5.00GoodAs a strong golden mild, very pleasant, but as it is supposed to be an IPA, a bit off the mark. Too sweet, little hop aroma or taste, served too cold and with a lot of carbonation. All this for £3.50/pint. My score 15/20 (for a pleasant sweet mild ale) or 13/20 for being an "IPA".

Had time for a quickie before my train home and it was packed. Hardly got a seat.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride4.10AcceptableBland bitter, perfectly acceptable, but just a bit normal

4th stop on my London tour. It was now rush hour and cycling in central London at 17.00 is really quite frightening. Lovely pub, not too crowded. I sat upstairs and watched the world go by and had a bottle of Fullers Vintage Ale 2006.

I promised that I would re-rate Fuller's ESB on Ratebeer, plus I wanted to see if they had a bottle of their Anniversary Ale, which they did. Good boozer with great internal architecture. Clientele are pretty City based.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - ESB5.50AcceptableDeep copper with lasting beige head. Peppery hop aroma. Soft fruity malt. Fullish and a little unsubtle in mouth, bit pukey to be honest, but the peppery hop aroma/finish is outstanding. Apart from a red beery syrupy pukey bit in the middle, it’s good.
