We'd been to look at the Willow Gentians in the quarry at Scotney Castle and came on here for beer. Mid afternoon on a September Sunday.Nice mix of older and younger drinkers and diners.

In Ranters Lane, a pub with wooden floors and tables. Situated on the side of the hill at the end of the village. The outside decking areas give superb views across the Weald. Re-opened on 6th April 2018 with a re-naming and operating mainly as a restaurant.

We have visited this pub 7 times, seen 11 different beers and tried 7 of them.
