Friendly welcome we were the first customers just after lunchtime opening. No obvious changes from what I could see apart from the jars of spicy snacks were sadly no longer available.

Pleasant pub. Rather quiet, early on a Monday evening. A bit pricey.

Large corner pub with an unspoilt interior you'd expect to find in a busy high street, not leafy suburbia. The home made chilli rice cakes make an interesting bar snack!
BeerABVScoreNotes
Sadler's (see also Windsor Castle entry) - Wee Shimmy3.90ExcellentMy type of beer, light, hoppy, zesty and refreshing. Barman offered to change it if we were unhappy but it wasn't necessary.

Another pleasant surprise on a tour of London pubs, I was not aware of just how good the interior of this pub is. This was an early afternoon visit and the pub was not too busy, so we were able to just enjoy our beer and soak up the atmosphere.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Sadler's (see also Windsor Castle entry) - Wee Shimmy3.90ExcellentWe were warned that this was close to the end of the cask, and the barman would change it if necessary. The beer turned out to be in really good condition, a nice amber/gold bitter ale, with citrus notes.
