11:30 First stop on our tour of potential Heritage pubs. Just opened so had the pub to ourselves. Had a good wander round and a conversation with the Landlord and Landlady about the history of the pub. The pub is a mixture of styles. Original public bar to the left with an inter-war extension, two separate inter-war refits to the right and two 1950s extensions to the rear. Spot the deliberate error in the black & white photograph of men playing daddlums in the public bar.

The Landlord always has one beer on gravity, with a firkin on the counter of the public bar. Sadly the beer was not ready as I would have liked to try Doom Bar directly from the cask.

I popped in for a couple of Sunday lunchtime pints in the Public Bar on my way to watch Rugby at Westcombe Park. Plenty of locals in.

The pub is found in Chelsfield, Greater London, BR6 7RE.
Although technically within Greater London, and there are occasional red buses pulling up outside to prove it, this is very much a country village pub in Church Road. Two bars and a restaurant area, with patio tables at the front. Around 25 minutes walk from Chelsfield railway station.
We have visited this pub 7 times, seen 20 different beers and tried 14 of them.
