What a remarkable old pub. I was not even sure that it was open and tried a couple of doors before finding the right one. A time-warp room (the middle one of three, the other two being closed), where the only sound was the competing ticking of two venerable old clocks. A couple of other customers briefly, with the landlady emerging from private rooms when needed.

Grade II listed two roomed pub in Church Street, formerly three cottages in Church Street. Bar on the left main one, public bar used when crowded. Closed in August 2021 with a planning application made for change of use to housing, currently being disputed.
