Cam and I had driven out to the Black Horse (the Caythorpe Brewery tap) and the Marquis of Granby (the Brewsters brewery tap) and found both closed!!! ...so we came back home and went to the three crowns instead.

England were playing in the world cup so we popped in and got a take-out of 4 pints of mild and then later, 4 pints of EPA. Both were way too cold but still fantastic. The pub looks like a modern bar and when we visited later (after a great Thai next door) it was full of trendy types. Great beer line up and quality.

Found on a fairly quiet street in Ruddington this pub comprises a long modern bar area with a front room slightly partitioned off. The back room contains the Three Spices Indian and Bangladeshi restaurant. Known locally as The Top House.
