The pub is found in Forest Hill, Greater London, SE23 3XU.
A commercial conversion by the Antic London Collective pub group. Formerly the Forest Hill Branch Post Office it still retains inside the three letter box labelled slots and some shelving and other Post Office type features. Quirky furnishings play to a 50s and 60s feel. Main bar has a wooden bar with black formica inlay top and sports 5 handpumps. This front bar has 1960s style canteen tables and chairs on the main floor and 4 soft furnished booths against one wall and has a table football table. There is a soft furnished "cupboard" seated area to the left rear corner of the front bar. The rear bar area is "sitting room" style with period sideboard and old TV. This rear bar area has 2 original safe vaults with heavy full height doors which have been converted into tiny seated areas. One wall of the main bar is adorned with framed postage stamps and telegrams to celebrate the pub's former use. 5 handpumps. Portobello took over from Antic here in 2020.
We have visited this pub 4 times, seen 13 different beers and tried 5 of them.
