Greenwich was packed this-evening with the Tall Ships visiting and a free firework display to come at 9:15. So it was a surprise to find this pub very quiet. Between three of us we tried all three beers that were available and none were found to be in particularly good nick.

No TV here, so it was very quiet on Friday evening whilst the England football friendly was in progress.

My reward for a lengthy riverside wander from Belvedere to Greenwich was a nice sit down in here and a couple of interesting pints. Very welcoming staff.
| Hop Stuff - Saisonniers | 4.50 | | Pale gold, saison-style beer with a slightly sour, herbal, spicy flavour. For me, it was perhaps a little lacking in body – but I noticed that they only squeezed out two more pints after mine, so perhaps it was getting a bit ‘thin’. |

Evening. Welcome addition to Greenwich pub scene as it is otherwise almost impossible to get local London real ales in the town. Apparently on-site brewery is likely to materialise later this Winter.

The first time I have ever entered this pub, and it turns out to be somewhat larger inside than I was expecting. Early days, but it seems to be a very good addition to the area’s pubs.
