There has been a big party here today to celebrate Truman’s Brewery’s first birthday. By the time I arrive in the mid-evening, it’s still busy but I have missed the brewery tours, the live music, most of the beer, the birthday cake, the beer and food matching etc.. etc..

Late sunshine in the yard and then watching the first half of the World Cup final in the bar (before dashing home for the second half). My Argentina hat stayed in my bag in deference to the group of German ladies on the next table.

By the Lea and one of the locks. The view of the river is lovely. Docks warehouse feel to the bar. On a sunny summers day it was delightful. I really liked it

The pub is found in Hackney, Greater London, E3 2NQ.
Opened in May 2014 as a brewery tap for the nearby Truman’s Brewery and named the Cygnet. This modern-style bar is situated in a former industrial premises at Swan Wharf, next to Old Ford Lock on the Lee Navigation, opposite the former Channel 4 Big Breakfast studio and very close to the Olympic Stadium. It features a large, canal-side terrace and an open kitchen within the pub. Long opening hours; breakfast until late. The pub closed for 'winter hibernation' in October 2014, re-opening in March 2015 as the Plough (and run by the same people as the Plough in Homerton). Still operates as the Truman's tap.
