Shepherd Neame - Goldings Ale | 4.10 | Mindful of Philip Pirrip’s comments from yesterday I had a good look at the pumpclip and on this one the beer strength was given, albeit not prominently. Amber-coloured. Lots of Goldings hop character. Fell flat very quickly in the glass and just not very exciting really. | |

The pub is found in Southwark, Central London, SE1 8DP.
Former Courage pub tucked away in Colombo Street, this pub was established in 1787 and rebuilt in its present form in 1887. It is a traditional-style pub, with two wood-panelled bars, front and back on slightly different levels. Its best known feature though is the large rear garden, sheltered from much in the way of passing traffic. 4 handpumps.
We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 6 different beers and tried 3 of them.
