3rd visit of the outing: Now called The Cow & Stout, it is found in the centre of Hertford and for that reason it was rather too bustling with afternoon life. I did though manage to meet up with a party of fellow real ale enthusiasts here from south-east London and seeing that they were on the verge of moving on, decided to join them for the walk to the next venue on the list and as the beer range here was not all that inspiring.

Afternoon visit, my first visit to this pub and I found it very welcoming. Unfortunately I could not stop for long as I was on my way to meet friends at a nearby pub.
