Sunday lunchtime after a visit to the nearby Wray Castle (good for kids).
Busy with mainly diners on a very wet July day. Staff cop8ng well and a reasonable lunch.
Delighted to see a beer that shares my surname.

Excellent ambiance, quiet buzz of drinkers and diners waiting to eat.

Early Monday evening, busy with diners waiting to be seated. Full range of home brewed beers from the Barngate brewery on site. Like the beer bat idea, 3 small third pint glasses of different ales to try. If you are going to eat, book first! If you are going to drink, get a lift because you will not be able to stop at one!
