Early evening and fairly busy, darts on TV and a comfortable relaxed atmosphere with mostly younger folk. A previous check on Untapp'd revealed a fair choice of real ales on thus I was pleasantly surprised that was the case.

Early afternoon, I sat in the former Saloon Bar, only a handful of customers at this time of day.

First visit upon recent reopening, pleased to see the new owners have not spoilt the country pub atmosphere, just the fumes of fresh paint prevalent. Badly timed early evening call as the place was being used as a kindergarten which ruined the ambience.

Attractive Grade II listed building in Church Road and named after the man who discovered blood circulation and who lived locally. Refurbished in 2018 after a period of closure and re-opened on Friday 9th November 2018.
