September's venue for our NESW group, four of us arrived just before 12.00 opening soon joined by many others. Friendly and welcoming spacious basic proper back street local's pub. By the time we left around 16.30 the pub was buzzing.

Popular beer destination and community local in Winfield Street, where the handpumps boast a good range of six constantly changing micro brewery beers, often local. A range of Belgian beers also available. Bare boards, bar stools, breweriana and a famous plank at the end of the bar create a traditional town pub atmosphere buzzing with conversation. Dog (and people) friendly. Former Bedfordshire and South Bedfordshire Pub of the Year.
