Mid evening and busy but the vast size of the place absorbed the crowds like sponge! Idyllic location for this high quality establishment, one could easily be fooled thinking it was a flagship chain pub/restaurant. We we shown to a reserved area and with just the one cask ale on it was much easier for the staff to cope with the orders.

Sir Henry’s in Romford Road is a family run restaurant and beer garden based in the heart of Essex. Serving some fine food in the area, from classic British dishes to chefs daily specials. This 13th century building, which was built in 1290 (almost 750 years old), has been beautifully transformed to highlight its original features and is surrounded by a 13th century moat with a beautiful landscaped beer garden, perfect for any summer day or cosy night by log fires.
