Last pub of the tour. It reminded me of the Minerva in Plymouth for some reason - the long thin nature and the fact it was heaving, I think. We were offered tasters without asking, and given a CAMRA discount.

Lunchtime. Friendly bar staff - offered a CAMRA discount without me asking. Despite my Lycra I must still look the type. GBG entry - but rather disappointed with the commonplace ales on offer. Pub with lots of character.

Sunday evening and not busy but a friendly welcome with an offer of tasters if I wasnt sure what I wanted
The pub is found in Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN1 1JA.
In the town centre an oasis of real ale in St Giles Street. Thirteen handpulls and the feel of a long standing pub in its interior, advertising gigs and rugby on the big TV screens. 10% discount for CAMRA members.
We have visited this pub 5 times, seen 27 different beers and tried 6 of them.
