Late afternoon visit. My choice to try and justifiably so. Massively popular with youf who were trying beer but far too many were ordering the draught and bottled fizz ones.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Anspach & Hobday - The Three Threads6.00ExcellentMy first A&P as it is usually seen on fizz. A slow drinking one to savour

Very busy in the early evening. The weather is hot and pretty much everybody is standing outside.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Anspach & Hobday - The Porter6.70ExcellentGreat to see an A&H beer on cask dispense. It’s too dark in the pub to see if this is a Brown Porter or a Black Porter. Rich and alcoholic.
Great Heck - Navigator3.90GoodA very good quality, straightforward, reddish-brown, malty Bitter.

Very busy, quite dark and quite Christmasy. Actually one of the pump clips was hand written and so faded that in the dark light even the barman was uncertain as to what it was.
BeerABVScoreNotes
WharfeBank - Washburn Best3.70AcceptableBit sweet and 1D.

Quite busy in the mid-evening, but we found a table and relaxed over a very decent pint in the glow of a job well done – five pubs surveyed.

Very quiet in here, mid-afternoon on a Monday. I’m merely pausing for refreshment whilst pursuing my Olympic dreams.
BeerABVScoreNotes

I popped in here for a quick one on the way to a function nearby. Nice atmosphere, with many people sitting outside to take advantage of the freakishly warm weather.

A great new addition to London’s booming craft beer scene. Four handpumps to support (mostly) local brewers, good kegs and two fridges full of interesting bottles. A bit pricey though. Deservedly busy.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Oakham - Tranquility6.50ExcellentI really enjoyed this strong, orangey-hoppy, sweetish, sipping beer.
Redemption - Trinity3.00ExcellentRapidly becoming my favourite beer. All that hoppiness and body for just 3%
Redemption - Fellowship Porter5.10ExcellentA black porter with a tan head. Smooth, roasted malt and plenty of chocolate.
Camden Town - Show Boat4.50GoodDeep red/brown in colour. Predominantly malt taste, with some background hopping.

The pub is found in Clerkenwell, Central London, EC1R 4QL.

Long-established market pub. Indeed, it is said that Exmouth Market is named after the pub, rather than the other way around - with the pub being named after Sir Edward Pellow, Viscount Exmouth, a Navy man. Known for its well-preserved Courage Brewery exterior tiling of 1915 vintage. Now also well known for its beer following a late-2011 make over and change of management. 4 handpumps.

We have visited this pub 10 times, seen 30 different beers and tried 14 of them.
