Last pub of the tour. About 10:30pm I think. Got a table at the back from someone who was just leaving who welcomed us to their old table. Yeah I don't get it either.

Busy and getting on for the early evening. We sat outside and then got told we had to move on in 5 mins as children weren't allowed after 8 (which I suppose is reasonable really).

Walked up to the bar and peered at the line-up. The guy sitting at the bar said the Hip Hop was excellent. So I had that. He turned out to be the deputy manager and I stood chatting to him for 15 mins talking about beer, pubs and his recurring nightmare where he can't leave the pub because a bunch of drunks won't go. Top bloke.

We came here on a whim. Martin uses this pub when shopping as a pick-me-up. Nice pub too. Very atmospheric.

A very long-established pub in the Lanes area of town. Easy to spot by its well-preserved Tamplin’s Brewery frontage. Has a two room layout, with a little yard at the back and some pavement tables. A supporter of Sussex Breweries.
