The pub is found in Kingston upon Hull, East Yorkshire, HU2 0PA.
This pub is situated in a now run-down industrial area on the west bank of the River Hull, 10 minutes walk north from the top of the High Street. Whaling boats once sailed from this stretch of the river. The pub was probably established in the early nineteenth century and today is a cosy place, adorned with many black and white photographs of old Hull pubs and sporting teams. An in-house brewery was established in July 2003 and produces beers which are sold cheaply in the pub and which have names relating to the whaling industry.
