Late afternoon after local chores. Walked past but in old days would have not been able to pass it by without visiting. Now torn but seeing Bedford beer pumpclips through window walked on by. Oh how Young's has fallen.

Evening. Nothing like the bohemian house I remember when 3 ladies might be smoking pipes in the public bar. Rear room now used for purposes better supplied by a caff or restaurant elsewhere. Consequently a very brief uncomfortable visit.

Two bar historic pub in Flask Walk, a passageway off main road. Rear restaurant has been fully gastroised, and right hand bar has had a serious makeover. The left hand bar is still fairly traditional in furnishings and décor. 5 handpumps in each of the two bars.
