Was very much looking forward to visiting this pub as had such great memories of it from before, oh! Where is everyone? The pub is empty on a Sunday lunch time session! Clearly there has been a Chang Of management and decoration. Gone have the classic pub colours of old, creams, dark reds, and wood and in its place pristine whites, baby blues and pine! Gone also are the locals who I so fondly remembered from before sitting around the bar, oh! And there are no longer any bar stools. I’m greeted with a smile by the barmen who doesn’t speak very good English drink my pint and leave disappointed.

Nice old boozer. Had that seaside smugglers feel to it.

17:15 Few in the bar watching the football. Couple in the dining area. The harbour side was heaving in Rick Stein town, amazing that you can find a peaceful pub just by walking 200 yards away from the madding crowd. This is a CAMRA Heritage pub and I took the opportunity to take a selection of interior photographs for the website.
