Late evening friendly locals and a star of landlord expressing a superb dry witty SOH. I sat in the quieter left side bar while a more rowdy affair with folk watching football from the other bar.

Evening. Friday Evening Group meeting at a most friendly pub with a very rural feel. Landlord has had a long association with the former Ridleys brewery people.

Early evening visit and the pub is busy and boisterous. I go in the bar with marginally less ‘singing’. Some people have clearly been in for a while. Will have to come back another time to get more of a feel for the pub.

11:30 - 14:45 Yet another gathering of old railwaymen. An excellent time was had by all. A visit to the micro-brewery behind the bar was an added bonus.
