Mid evening, just passing through off a train when a CAMRA acquaintance earholed me for a pint or two. Range apparently restricted, leaving only some dark ones, as running down stocks for a week or so of closure next week.

My first visit here, a very pleasant Spoons. I am not a fan of Christmas beers so I was disappointed to find so many of them still on sale in the middle of January.

Jammed at 8pm on a Monday evening – space is always going to be at a premium here I suspect. Possibly worth noting that there is not enough room for this pub to have any toilets of its own.

The pub is found in City, Central London, EC4N 6AP.
Opened 10th February 2015 on the concourse of Cannon Street main line railway station. Named after one of the co-designers of the original Cannon Street station building which opened in 1866. Alongside Platform 1, with some outside seating at the front, this pub has large windows to view the hustle and bustle of commuter life. Open view kitchen and a viewing at one end through which the real ale casks and piping can be seen. Copper coloured bar counter top with 6 handpumps.
