The pub is found in Ipswich, Suffolk, IP2 8AJ.
This is a true Ugly Duckling to Swan story. A pub in Burrell Road that has had a chequered history to say the least. Back in the 1990s it was a fairly decent hotel and ideal for business meetings followed by lunch. Over the years it went down hill and ended up as a place you would not go in. In 2015 an enterprising businessman fully renovated the building inside and out, introduced a range of cask beers and a reasonable menu. The bar is modern but lots of the original panelling has been preserved as has a section of parquet flooring. It deserves to succeed.
We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 2 of them.
