2nd visit of the heritage pubs. An impressive semi-rural setting with a large seating area outside at the front, positioned off a not very busy small road and some 5 minutes from a main road around the corner served by the H13 London bus from Pinner. Not as ancient as the first pub in Pinner but certainly pre-20th century with low ceilings and leaded lights on the windows. Busier outside for punters soaking up the sunshine but still more inside and also dining. Friendly welcome and prompt service.

Been on my wishlist for ages and pleased to find all is as expected for this welcoming relaxed proper pub. Fairly quiet on a Monday early evening visit just a few locals dotted about.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Rebellion - IPA (was 3.7%)3.40GoodRefreshing hints of malt and hops combined with plums and a raisin aftertaste made for a delicious pint. Lost half a star for served too cold..
Twickenham (also uses sub-brand Old Hands) - Naked Ladies4.40AcceptableA bizarre sherbet twang to this caused concern however this slowly dissipated as more was downed.

14:45 Second stop on our Heritage crawl. My first visit here and I liked it a lot. Food was available but it didn't dominate as it can do in so many pubs. There was a real pubby feel to the place and consensus amongst our group saw us stay for a second pint.

The pub is found in Eastcote, Greater London, HA5 2EQ.

A true "rus in urbe" pub in Eastcote High Road. A CAMRA Heritage pub, and rightly so. Listed building with two bars and a separate dining room. The right hand bar is small and cosy, the larger L-shaped similar Brewers' Tudor style but lighter and airier. The dining room is in a converted barn and is very atmospheric.

We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 6 different beers and tried 3 of them.
