Very pleasant pub both inside and out which was fairly busy at lunchtime when I went with my wife and very elderly aunt for a lunchtime meal which was very tasty. We sat outside enjoying the summer sun.

Went for a good long walk on Sunday. The weather was glorious, not a cloud in the sky. I'd intended to make the Gate Inn my half way point but changed my mind and came here instead. So pleased to see they're doing Non-Sheps ales as well now. A nice pub with a good food reputation in such peaceful surroundings. That was until all the Sunday lunchers started to arrive en masse and in full voice. Still...the beer was good.
Theakston - Paradise Ale | 4.20 | | A mid coloured thirst quenching ale with a hint of summer fruits |

Went at lunchtime with my wife, son and his family. The meal was very good and there were nine others in the restaurant.
Greene King - Morland Old Speckled Hen | 4.50 | | Rather bland and not a very lively drink. |

Came for lunch. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was good. Nice garden too.
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | | This was drinkable but only just. There was no condition to it but the real problem was that there was a kind of mustiness to it that was mildly unpleasant. |
Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter | 3.70 | Not Tried
Greene King - Morland Old Speckled Hen | 4.50 | Not Tried | Tried my dad's and it was a bit musty |

Came here on a firms do, free food and beer, mmmm. Nice enough pub that seems to concentrate on food.
Hook Norton - Hooky Gold | 4.10 | | A nice enough pint, pale and hoppy and some citrus but a bit unexciting. It seemed a better option than Masterbrew. |
Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter | 3.70 | Not Tried

What a great pub. It was a bit hard to find as it’s not actually in the centre of Hoath and my drive around the surrounding countryside trying to find it was reminiscent of when Ian and I tried to find the Cherry Tree in Wicklewood, Norfolk. Like the Cherry Tree this was well worth the search. The pub was busy with Sunday diners and locals out for a pint. The interior was lovely; lots of hops, well maintained drinking areas, plush (but timeless) interior trimmings.
Thwaites - Wainwright (please now use the Banks's entry) | 4.10 | | The guest beer. Sandy-mustard colour with the aroma or rose petals. Good earthy hop with rose petal notes. Really good session beer. Wish I could have done a session on it to be honest. |
Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter | 3.70 | Not Tried
