2nd visit of the outing: Busy on my half-twelve arrival as filling up for the CAMRA Thanet branch Christmas social. I admired their homemade spreads that were laid out to keep this local branch going throughout the afternoon. Friendly, prompt service and met up with two Ramsgate locals who were in just after me and told me all about their recent East London beer festival they had just done.
| Wantsum - Do You Know The Muffin Man? | 4.00 | | 1st beer of this visit: This gingerbread mild, from the local Thanet brewery at Saint Nicholas-at-Wade between Herne Bay and Birchington-on-Sea, presented a really creamy head and lacing that stuck to the sides of the glass all the way down. A pleasantly spicy first hit. Hints of ginger rapidly climbing up. A spicy note definitely carolling in among the backing harmonies from the malty notes. Very moreish indeed! |
| Tonbridge - Ebony Moon | 4.20 | | 2nd beer of this visit: Good head and lacing and lasting on this East Peckham-brewed porter. A very dry bitter first hit. A dry maltiness rising with hints of chocolate and coffee. A pleasant bitterness winning over with dark berry, honey and earthy notes paddling out aided by its mix of Northdown, Bramling Cross and Golding hops. |
| Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 3 | 5.00 | Not Tried | |
| Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - She Sells Sea Shells | 4.70 | Not Tried | |

2nd visit of the outing: What a pity I had just missed as approaching the main road from the Monty the every 10-minutes Loop bus to Broadstairs. To commiserate that loss, a quick visit to this olde worlde pub exuding charm beckoned. It seemed just the right tonic to cheer me up. An amble along the main road and then set back in a quiet side street, I was met with a very warm welcome and friendly service. Good banter with one of the locals over a very decent half. Needless to say. I just made it for the next Loop bus and along to my favourite Broadstairs' café. This was not one of Gadds' Brewery's acquisitions but called Ed's.
| Wantsum - Imperium | 4.00 | | Head and lacing and lasting to die for on this Kentish Best from St Nicholas-at-Wade, south-west of Birchington-on-Sea. A very moreish bitter first bite. A dry bitterness rising with a pleasant hoppiness from its Kent Bullion hops. A subtle maltiness competing. A winning bitter dryness sailing out. |
| Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - She Sells Sea Shells | 4.70 | Not Tried | |
| Tonbridge - American Pale | 5.00 | Not Tried | |

4 beers on and a good crowd in
| Hammerton - Crunch | 5.40 | | Quality peanut stout, normally found on keg, but boss sourced it specially. Told me he was selling it at a bargain £5 instead of the £6.50 it should be.Couldn't sell it in Ramsgate at that price. Lucky us. |
| Wantsum - Imperium | 4.00 | | Not very enjoyable |
| Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - She Sells Sea Shells | 4.70 | Not Tried | £3.95 a pint as 3 of the beers were. |

Frank sinatra's My-Way was followed by Queens' We are the Champions. Never been here before, mainly due to its opening hours. I like it. Reminds me of the 1970's.
| Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride | 4.10 | | |
