Named after locally made bricks - one of our party was taken back to his youth when he used to make them - a very emotional scene between an old man and a worn brick.

Early evening visit, part of a Micropub crawl. We liked the banter so consequently stayed longer than intended, so other later planned venues were missed out. Little glasses of gratis peanuts and thin bread-like sticks were emptied as our appetites were aroused.

My first visit to this new micropub. Still work in progress, I had a good chat with the landlady who I knew from when she ran the South Eastern Tavern in Ashford about eighteen years ago.

The pub is found in Sittingbourne, Kent, ME10 4PD.
Micropub in High Street which opened on 15th September 2018 although it had had several open days before than under temporary events licences. It was previously a clothes shop. Named after a type of building brick made in large numbers nearby at one time. Real ales and ciders/perries sold on gravity dispense from a temperature controlled cellar room behind the small bar counter. Unisex toilet. Garden and outside smoking area. Firm policing of a range of swearing fines here.
