A delightful pub on the edge of the town centre, I used it on two consecutive evenings. Sam Smiths have upped their prices by 50% so a pint that used to cost £2 has risen to £3 but still excellent value.

This pub just looked inviting, which is more than can be for the some of the nearby pubs that I passed. I just had to pay a visit and was delighted to find a comfortable unspoilt boozer. It was good to see both light and dark milds side by side on the bar, although these were both on keg dispense.

Unspoilt pub on the edge of town in Church Street, some nice dark wood inside. Closed late March 2022 seeking a new manager.
We have visited this pub twice, seen 1 beer and tried it.
